According to a survey, buyers of current Pixel cell phones tend to be dissatisfied and would choose a different brand for their next device. A phenomenon due to initial bugs in the Pixel 6 series or a real problem for Google?
In the comments under our post, a lot of people have expressed their views. When I started my evaluation, there were at least 87 reports to be found there. From this, I wanted to filter whether you actually share the reported dissatisfaction of US customers as well. Of course, this is not representative, but it is very interesting for us.
Google Pixel Satisfaction: Surprisingly balanced
Overall, the majority of people who actually expressed satisfaction with the Pixel devices are satisfied with their own Pixel smartphone. A lot of people with current models have reported who could only list a few points where they have something to complain about.
For those who aren’t satisfied, it’s actually always due to some fixable issue and not the devices themselves. Unfortunately, Google has been dragging around average performance in mobile communications, WLAN and Bluetooth for many years. Noticeable problems such as disconnections are disadvantages that dissatisfied customers often mention.
Recurring issues across multiple Pixel generations
Around 30 positive reports are offset by just over 20 negative reports. I rated 4 comments as “neutral”. Therefore, one cannot say that there are only opponents and dissatisfied customers of the Pixel series. When Google phones cause dissatisfaction, it’s often for similar reasons. That should make it easy to implement improvements.
For me personally, there has been a curve since the market launch. Just around the turn of the year, I had small problems that Google later fixed. But the really serious dropouts in the mobile phone connection also occurred to me. It took a while for the devices to be imported. Since then my satisfaction has been on another level.
