With the launch of the first smartphone of Nothing – the brand of the former OnePlus, Carl Pei – we have witnessed the debut of the hype phone of the moment, which aims to establish itself in a market full of now-known (and crystallized) names.
Will the new company be able to have its say and break into the hearts of tech enthusiasts? In the meantime, if you have any doubts, here is a comparison between specifications, design and price between the most popular mid-ranges: Nothing Phone (1) vs Xiaomi 12 Lite vs OnePlus Nord 2T vs Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G!
Nothing Phone (1) vs Xiaomi 12 Lite vs OnePlus Nord 2T vs Redmi Note 11 Pro +: all the differences
Design and style
The style and design of a smartphone are subjective and talking about the “most beautiful” model is very misleading. However we can talk about the “most original” device and in this respect, our comparison begins with a winner from the first impact. Nothing Phone (1) has succeeded in proposing something different, in a market that is now more and more homologated to styles that are repeated endlessly over the course of the year. The back cover is characterized by what is called Glyph Interface, which is a transparent back, with a minimal panel and a series of strips composed of 900 LEDs.
The lights are arranged around the camera and in other places and act as indicators for notifications or simply to create a “magical” effect while using the device. For the front, we have a large panel, with a punch hole for the camera and four super optimized edges.
Xiaomi 12 Lite owes much of its style to the older brothers in the range. However, it makes sense given that we are talking about a really well-made device, with a matte back cover, characterized by low thickness and weight (we are talking about 7.29 mm and 173 grams).
Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G continues in the wake of the rest of the series, with a youthful and pleasant look. Closes our parenthesis on the OnePlus Nord 2T design: the photographic module has a “unique” layout that recalls that of the previous models but adds a touch of “extravagance” (given that one sensor is positioned asymmetrically with respect to the other two).
