Microsoft recently pushed the Windows 11 Build 25158 version update to the Windows Development Channel, bringing some interesting new features, such as a variety of search box styles, and widgets and new functions.
However, with the new widget options, the latest version of Windows 11’s weather report and reading function seems to have appeared a little buggy. While Microsoft didn’t mention the bug in the known issues, Twitter user @Xeno noticed it.
In response, Microsoft senior product manager @Brandon LeBlanc confirmed in response to Xeno that this is indeed a bug and is being researched. Brandon also added that there may be brief pauses or freezes in weather readings when the system resumes from sleep.
The known issues with widgets given by Microsoft in version 25158 are:
- [NEW] The notification logo on the taskbar may be misplaced
- In some cases, some flagged notification banners did not appear in the widget panel.
- We’re fixing an issue that caused widget preferences (temperature units and pinned widgets) to unexpectedly reset to default.
