The smartphones of the Google Pixel series are also very popular for the exclusive features they can boast and one of the most interesting is undoubtedly represented by Google Recorder, a solution that uses machine learning to transcribe the words spoken in real-time without the need for an Internet connection. This speech synthesis takes place entirely on their Google Pixel and, therefore, not only remains private but can also be searched by the user very quickly.
Google Pixel and machine learning, the marriage of the future
Google Recorder exploits the advances in the field of machine learning achieved by Google Research but was largely created by Google Creative Lab, that is a team of designers, writers, programmers, directors and producers that has set itself the goal of “… helping to invent the future of Google and communicate Google’s innovations in ways that make them useful to more people ”.
The Google Creative Lab team has contributed to various products and services of the Mountain View giant but Google Recorder is undoubtedly one of the main ones, adapting very well to what is the mission of this group of developers.
Apparently, Google is planning to create other exclusive solutions for the Google Pixel series smartphones that are mainly based on the potential offered by machine learning and confirmation comes from a recent announcement published by the company to find a person who can hire the role of Director of Product Management for Pixel Smarts (who later became Director of Product Management for Android System Intelligence), with the aim of creating differentiated experiences on Pixel that leverage the experience of the Mountain View giant in the machine learning sector.
The Mountain View giant wants the products of the Google Pixel range to exploit the potential of advanced machine learning and aims to create differentiated smart functionalities, taking advantage of the hardware components and the integration of the unique functions of the Google Pixel series devices at the same time.
