Rod Fergusson had promised it and was up to his word: despite the growing anticipation for Diablo 4, Blizzard Entertainment continues to actively support Diablo 3, which is preparing to enter its twenty-seventh season of content.
Season 27 of Diablo 3 is just around the corner: on Tuesday, July 12, Irvine’s company will publish patch 2.7.4 on the PTR, inviting players participating in the program to participate in the testing of new seasonal content, which will last for a total of 16 days. During this period, periodic maintenance will be carried out, in addition, minor patches will be published aimed at solving problems that will be reported gradually.
Season 27 will experience the effects of Heaven’s influence on the Nephilim by introducing a new type of consumable, the Angelic Crucible. These new artifacts, found throughout Sanctuary at level 70, can be used to Sanctify Legendary-class equipable items.
This process will provide new stats to items while preserving their Legendary power and add one of three new powers unique to each class. Angelic Crucibles and Sanctified Items can only be acquired in Seasonal play, and players will only be able to equip one Sanctified Item at a time. You can find out more details by consulting the official Diablo 3 patch 2.7.4 changelog.
