Today, Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the new expansion of the trading card game Hearthstone, titled Assassination at Nathria Castle. Let’s find out all the details together, from the trailer to the cards already confirmed.
Assassination at Nathria Castle will be available worldwide starting August 2, 2022, with 135 new collectible cards. The story, set in the Shadowlands, centers on Sire Denathrius, who one day decides to invite 10 of his opponents to Nathria Castle for a party. Too bad that, immediately after the festivities begin, Sire Denathrius is found dead! It will be up to the illustrious Murloc Holmes and his trusty assistant Pinson to investigate the new Locations, track the minions with Infusion, interrogate the 10 suspected Legendaries and solve the case.
Each class will have a Legendary minion (for a total of 10 new cards) as the prime suspect in the assassination of Sire Denathrius. The expansion will also introduce a new card type, Locations. Locations are played on the battlefield by paying their mana cost and then can be activated for free during turns to unleash powerful effects.
Each activation costs 1 Health and activates a Cooldown of 1 turn. Each class has its own Nathria Castle Locations, which represent where the suspects were at the time of the assassination, and thus synergize with the different themes of the relevant class. Also planned a new ability, Infusion. The Minimum, which is the life force extracted from lost souls, provides power to the Shadowlands and those who drink it.
Infused cards, as long as they remain in your hand, absorb the Animum of your minions when they die. After the specified number of minions have died while the Infused card was in your hand, this card transforms into a more powerful version.

The Nathria Castle Assassination Mega Pack (€ 79.99) includes 80 Nathria Castle Assassination booster packs, 5 Nathria Castle Assassination Golden booster packs, 2 random Assassination Nathria Castle Legendary cards, Sire Denathrius hero model for the Warrior, the Denathrius back, the Battle Board – Sandy Shores and 10 Mercenary packs.
The Assassination at Nathria Castle Pack (€ 49.99) includes 60 Assassination at Nathria Castle booster packs, 2 random Legendary Assassination at Nathria Castle cards, and the Denathrius back.
