V Rising was a big hit on Steam in this early period, but it’s still at the very beginning of its journey. There is new content on the way and, according to what has been revealed, the developers plan to offer an endgame on Dracula and in the style of The Throne of Swords.
Stunlock Studios previously revealed that V Rising version 1.0 will be an “evolution” of the current game and suggested that “extremely interesting additions” are on the way. In a new interview with streamers Asmongold and Rich Campbell, Stunlock Studios hinted at some additional details.
“Our ambition is to bring Dracula back,” confirms game director Peter Ilves. “What is his role, will you be able to challenge him, can you become Dracula in the endgame, will you sit on the Throne of Darkness?”. These are all questions that have “really intrigued the team” and players “will definitely see” Dracula’s return “as some kind of big event” at some point.
“Dracula isn’t just the endgame,” adds creative director Martin Lövgren. “The effects of him on the world will be noticeable even at the beginning of the game. His impact will be experienced throughout the journey.”
The endgame will also see the various factions fighting for control of the game world, which Ilves describes as “something in the style of Game of Thrones”, with factions such as the undead, the church, the militia and more.
Obviously, there is still some time before the arrival of this content, but V Rising can already boast of a very high number of players, here is the most recent data.
