In the official blog, Microsoft announced that it is rolling out a new feature for Office Mobile for Android, which can switch between multiple Office accounts. This means users will be able to switch between multiple works or personal accounts in Office Mobile applications, helping users keep their workspace organized.
Switching between multiple Office accounts is already supported in Office 365 Web Apps. Now, Microsoft is looking to add the same functionality to other Office apps across different platforms.
Once the feature is available, selecting a specific account will now display all recent content and content shared with the user on the home screen, allowing browsing options to view content within that account, and allowing files to be created and saved in the cloud. All of this is possible in the Office Mobile app for Android.
Users will be able to switch accounts from My Screen. In addition to this, it is possible to connect different accounts by tapping the “Connect Accounts” option, but it is unclear how many accounts can be added.
Notably, account switching is rolling out to Office Insiders running Android version 16.0.15225.20232 or later. Microsoft is gradually rolling out the feature to more Office Preview users.
