In the latest video of an interview with the Tesla Owners Club of Silicon Valley released on Wednesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that the production of its electric pickup, the Cybertruck, may be delayed until the middle of next year. When asked about Cybertruck’s latest development, Musk said: “The design is finally locked in.”

Musk added that the company was so invested in features that the finalization of the vehicle design and production was delayed.

Musk noted that if the Cybertruck went into production last year, it would be affected by supply issues. The Cybertruck, which goes into production alongside the other models, would be an example of “breaking the wall to make up for the west” on the budget, he said.

Asked when he now predicts when the Cybertruck will go into production, Musk said: “The middle of next year.”
