Today Apple released the iOS 16/iPadOS 16 developer preview Beta 2 update. According to Apple’s update release notes, iOS 16 Beta 2 introduced support for backup over LTE.
Apple says that iPhone and iPad users can now back up their devices over an LTE connection in addition to a 5G or WiFi connection.
Starting with iOS 15, Apple gave customers the option to back up their devices using 5G if a WiFi connection was unavailable, but previously the LTE connection option was not supported.
It is worth reminding that the LTE connection speed may be slow, the backup will use a lot of data, and users need to pay attention to check the remaining data of the data plan.
