Fitbit Charge 5: A fix for the continuous disconnection problems is coming

If your Fitbit Charge 5 often disconnects from the smartphone it is paired with, be it an Android or an iPhone, first of all, know that you are not alone and that a solution will soon come.

For several months now, there has been talking on the net about these connectivity problems that plague the Fitbit tracker and prevent data synchronization with the app. The first reports began to arrive at the beginning of the year and have progressively multiplied, forcing the company to investigate the matter thoroughly.

According to what was reported by the 9to5Google site, the problem would have been found and a corrective patch should soon arrive. The confirmation also comes from a post published on the official Fitbit community by a moderator who replied to a user:

As mentioned above, I would like to confirm that this issue has been reported to our team who are currently working on fixing it. I’m sorry for the inconvenience this is causing. We currently have no further details to share. Know that your feedback is appreciated and rest assured it will be passed on to our team to keep them informed of this situation.

At the moment, therefore, no precise timing has been offered as well as the percentage of owners of the fitness tracker affected by these problems is not known.

The Fitbit Charge 5, we recall, was launched in August last year. Compared to the previous generation, it has been renewed in design and enriched with some specific health functions as well as a new AMOLED color touch display with an always-on mode. Through a firmware update that arrived last November, however, the ECG function was also activated.
