For some entry-level products, Apple will be very cautious in raising prices, after all, this is for impulse. Now, the latest news from the upstream industry chain shows that the entry-level iPad that Apple is developing is progressing normally. Although Apple has upgraded its configuration, it is unlikely to increase the price and will continue to maintain its relatively high-cost performance.
The current entry-level iPad starts around at $350, making it Apple’s cheapest iPad model. Because of this, the entry-level iPad’s design hasn’t changed much, and it doesn’t support the USB-C port. It was the last iPad model to use the Lightning port, and the new generation should continue that pricing.
The entry-level iPad that Apple is developing is the tenth-generation product, code-named J272, and will be officially upgraded to a USB-C interface. Apple adopted the USB-C interface on the iPad Pro released in 2018, the iPad Air released in 2020 was upgraded to a USB-C interface, and the iPad mini released in 2021 was upgraded to a USB-C interface.
Supporting the USB-C interface means that the device is more scalable and has faster data transfer speeds. Currently, the ninth-generation iPad is equipped with a 10.2-inch LCD screen, and the next-generation iPad will use the same resolution screen as the iPad Air.
