iOS 16 will allow users to skip entering captchas on some websites and in some compatible apps. You already know that: After calling up a certain website, you are asked to first prove that you are not a bot and should, for example, correctly assign a few pictures.
The appropriate setting to circumvent such squabbles is said to be in the Settings app in the Apple ID area, then under “Password & Security” and then in the sub-area for automatic verification.
There you can activate that you do not have to resolve any captchas. Instead, your device and your Apple ID will be verified in the background. Apple then sends a private access token to the respective website or app, your personal data will not be shared.
Cloudflare and Fastly, for example, want to support this process. Apps and websites based on those platforms will therefore already be compatible. In the first betas for iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, this described automatic verification is activated by default. macOS Ventura should also support the function in the final version.
