The upgrade, as we also see in Capcom’s official tweet, introduces the resolution to 4K, brings the frame rate higher and more stable and also introduces support for ray tracing. The result is a more technically advanced look for Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7, although all three titles already defended themselves pretty well from the start.
The upgrade is free, through a free digital update for PS5, support for the integrated Smart Delivery system on Xbox and patches on PC, so those who own the original versions can upgrade without paying any cost.
