It is explained that the vegetation issue that was present from D1 has been completely removed in Horizon Forbidden West. Digital Foundry explains that the game still uses a checkerboard rendering solution that produces a 3200 x 1800 image, but what changed was the anti-alising system that uses a previous frame already processed by the AA, in conjunction with the new one. unprocessed, to create the final processed version.
