The first season of Battlefield 2042 has very little content, just one expert, a new map, and several new weapons. Although it is free, this obviously cannot satisfy the appetite of players.
According to game reporter Jeff Grubb, the shortage of DLC content for Battlefield 2042 is related to the scarcity of human resources arranged by EA. EA is said to be trying to implement the game’s promised DLC with as few resources as possible in order to be able to focus on the next Battlefield game.
On his paid podcast show Grubbsnax, Grubb said: “This game is basically a minimum number of crews in charge. It’s like there are only skeletons left, and these guys are just working on the promised extra season, the high-end that needs to meet its sales. version demand. These people are producing in the fastest and cheapest way possible.”
On GrubbSnax today, I said that Battlefield is down to a skeleton crew that is trying to meet its DLC obligations. EA has reached out to say this is untrue. pic.twitter.com/Wpj79d9pMM

He then explained that EA did this because the new Battlefield was in pre-production.
“They’re doing this so that everyone can move to the new Battlefield game as quickly as possible, and the real core of Battlefield developers is already working on the new Battlefield.”
After the news came to light, EA denied Grubb’s revelations. “This is not true,” EA said in a statement. “There is an important team across multiple studios responsible for evolving and improving the Battlefield 2042 gameplay experience, and at the core is our DICE team. We are committed to Battlefield 2042. Going forward, you can read where we’re focusing on Battlefield 2042 from recent development updates, based on the feedback we’ve received from players.”
