As already reported a few days ago, Samsung would have already started work on the new version of its custom interface based on Android: it is the One UI 5.0, it will be based on Android 13 and should arrive (at least) on the current top range of the South Korean manufacturer before the end of the year.
Obviously, Samsung has not yet revealed any details on the new version of the interface but the colleagues of the specialized portal Sammobile tell us that the One UI 5.0 will greatly improve the speed of all the animations of the user interface.
One UI 5.0: Samsung wants to make it faster and smoother
One of the arguments that Samsung is strongly considering in the development of the new One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 is, undoubtedly, speeding up the user interface, both in terms of pure browsing speed and in terms of animations.
The goal of the South Korean manufacturer is clear: the new One UI 5.0 will have to be as fluid and fast as never before, to give users an experience never experienced before on a Samsung smartphone.
The change, which apparently may seem minor, is actually very important for what is the experience provided to users. In fact, no one would dream of complaining about an optimized and lag-free interface of any kind. Furthermore, these optimizations would fully match devices equipped with a device with a high refresh rate.
Which Samsung devices should receive the new software version?
The One UI 4.0 (now in version 4.1 ), based on Android 12, is available today for over one hundred million Samsung users and many other smartphones from the South Korean manufacturer are in the process of receiving it.
Considering that the train of updates is something that never stops, it is worth asking which Samsung smartphones will be involved in the release of the upcoming One UI 5.0 based on Android 13.
Answering this question is pretty straightforward, thanks to the South Korean manufacturer’s clear update policy. Therefore, below are the smartphones/tablets of the Samsung Galaxy line that will receive the software update.

Although the list of Samsung smartphones/tablets that should receive the One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 is very substantial, there may be some surprises. It should also be emphasized that the One UI 5.0 will also arrive on all Samsung devices that will be presented from here on out.
When will One UI 5.0 arrive?
Samsung should unveil all the news of the One UI 5.0 at the SDC 2022, or the Samsung Developers’ Conference: the SDC 2021 took place in October, and, shortly after, the South Korean manufacturer launched the One UI 4.0 in beta.
Based on this, it is reasonable to assume that, even in the case of One UI 5.0, the South Korean manufacturer could follow a similar path and release the betas soon after SDC 2022.
Based on this, it is rather unlikely that the smartphones of the new generation of folding ( Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 ) will arrive on the market in the summer (we are talking about August) with the One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 already on board: for these devices and for the current top range of the house, the window for receiving the new update should open in the final part of the year.
