Google is racing through the versions and released the third Android 13 Beta >/a> a few minutes ago. The new version is now available for download and, as a major intermediate step, officially achieves “platform stability” – almost two months earlier than Android 12. The Android 13 Beta 3 can now be tried out on the Pixel smartphones via the beta channel and should have some hidden innovations in its luggage.
There is a new Android 13 beta. After Google released the second and only two weeks later a second beta (Beta 2.1) in May, the Android 13 Beta 3 is now available at the beginning of June. No changes or innovations have been officially announced, but these will probably still be plentiful under the hood and will only be discovered by the hard-working sleuths over the course of the next few hours.
This is the time to begin the final testing and development work needed to ensure that a compatible version of your app will be ready for users at the final release to the ecosystem. Android 13 will provide a standard API level at this time.
The highlight of this release is that “platform stability” has been achieved. It means that now is the high time for app developers to try their apps with the new version. If the app runs smoothly in the new beta, it should also run smoothly in the stable version, because as of now there are no more changes under the hood that would affect app developers.
