Filming has officially started on Mad Max: Furyosa, the prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. Furiosa is from the character Imperator Furiosa played and made famous by Charlize Theron in the 2015 film “Mad Max 4”, which will be released on May 24, 2024, about the origin of the role of Imperator Furiosa story.
One of the film’s co-stars, Chris Hemsworth (“Brother Hammer”), shared a photo on social media with the caption, “Mad Max lore begins.” Hammer will star in the film alongside Anya Taylor-Joy movie.
Director George Miller called the sequel a “legend” that spanned 15 years, compared with just three days for the previous one. 2015’s “Mad Max 4” grossed nearly $400 million worldwide and won six Oscars at the same time.
Director George Miller is also rumored to be interested in a sequel centered on Tom Hardy’s Mad Max.
