After being exposed by the Geekbench benchmark database, MySmartPrice recently reported that the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro 2 is expected to launch later this year. A few months ago, specs and renderings of the phone were leaked, revealing most of the details of the new phone. However, according to the latest information on the Google Play Console, the Galaxy Xcover Pro 2 may be sold under a different name.
Whether or not the phone, codenamed SM-G736U, will be renamed the XCover6 Pro, the rugged smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chipset, complemented by 6GB of RAM.
In addition, the renderings suggest that the SM-G736U will be equipped with a 6.56-inch @ 1080×2408 resolution AM OLED screen (20:9 aspect ratio).
A front-facing selfie camera is embedded in the waterdrop-shaped notch, and in accordance with the tradition of the series, there should be a red-tinted function button on the side of the fuselage.
Finally, although the exact release date is unknown, we expect the opportunity to bring a customized OneUI 4.x software experience based on Android 12 to consumers later this year.
