IO Interactive Entertainment updated the light-chasing patch for Hitman 3 and added support for DLSS and AMD FSR 1.0. The foreign media do gaming conducted a benchmark test of these new features.
It is said that the DLSS function has indeed improved the game performance. Without ray tracing, the game screen will not be lower than 90FPS when running at 4K / Ultra / DLSS settings with NVIDIA GeForce RTX3080.
The game also added support for FSR 1.0, but dsogaming officially recommends not to use it until the team adds FSR 2.0, as the feature is not as effective as DLSS. The light pursuit function requirements of “Hitman 3” are very high. At 1080p and 1440p resolutions, the RTX3080 can barely play smoothly with DLSS turned on with balanced settings, but the actual light pursuit effect is actually quite general unless players compare. For serious performance impact, the ray-tracing effect is indeed optional.
