According to the latest report, Apple has raised the price of Apple Music student subscription in several countries and notified students by email that the subscription price will increase slightly in the future.
According to MacRumors’ findings, it will affect but is not limited to, Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Indonesia, Israel and Kenya.
An email from Apple to South African student subscribers read: Thank you for subscribing to Apple Music. We want to let you know about the upcoming changes to this subscription, which will be priced from $1.49 per month to $1.99 per month.
Apple’s official website shows that current students of degree-granting universities and colleges can join Apple Music at a discounted monthly fee for up to 48 months. According to Apple’s official website in China, the student price of an Apple Music subscription is 5 yuan per month, and the benefits are the same as individual subscriptions.
