The release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s Additional Paths Pass has rekindled interest in the platform’s best-selling Nintendo Switch title, with over 43 million copies to its credit. While waiting to find out what surprises Nintendo has in store regarding the possibility of a possible sequel, the Kyoto house has chosen to revive one of its most popular competitions, at least in Italy.
We are talking about the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Seasonal Circuit Italy, the event ready to return in a few weeks, since the first appointment is scheduled for next 5 June, from 19:00 to 21:00, in a completely online format that will allow all Italian players to participate for free and try to win one of the prizes up for grabs.
As for the other editions, the 2022 Seasonal Circuit event also includes a total of 3 appointments. In addition to that of June, in fact, it will also be possible to register for the races scheduled for September and November, although at the moment there are no further details regarding the dates chosen, so we invite you to stay tuned so as not to miss the announcements.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE AND THE PRIZES TO BE GIVEN
Returning instead to the competition of June 5, we point out that to participate you must have a copy of the game and a subscription to Nintendo Switch Online, while it is not necessary to have the Pass additional paths. This will in fact be temporarily accessible to participants during the tournament so that races can be played on all 56 tracks currently available in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. For those wishing to participate, the tournament code is already available and must be entered into the game to access the races of the stage ( the code is 0252-4222-9291 ).
Each stage of the tournament will be self-contained and will allow the best drivers to obtain prizes themed with the world of Mario, made available by LEGO and Big Ben. Will the winner be able to take the LEGO Block set home? Super Mario 64 was presented last September, while the runner-up will receive the Lugi’s Mansion Ghost Hunt set and the third place will get a Lugi’s Mansion Laboratory and Poltergust set. The others classified up to the eighth position, on the other hand, will receive a Nintendo Switch Big Ben NNS50GR case.
In addition, all ten best drivers in the competition will have Seasonal Circuit branded prizes, such as a jacket for the first place, a metal case for the second, a T-shirt for the third and caps for the remaining seven positions. Finally, all participants, regardless of placement, will receive 50 platinum points that can be used within the My Nintendo program.
