GTA+: Rockstar Games subscription is a hit so far, says Take Two

Among the various results announced by Take-Two in its recent financial meeting linked to the end of the quarter, information also emerged on GTA+, the new specific subscription for the world of GTA Online which apparently is proving to be a success, at least in these first months.

“We are thrilled by the number of users who have signed up so far,” said Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two.

“It is clear that consumers value very positively the possibility of being more connected to GTA Online and what we offer through the subscription.” However, precise numbers have not been provided in this regard.

GTA + is a subscription with exclusive benefits on PS5 and Xbox Series X | S dedicated to GTA Online, able to provide content, bonuses and various consumables to the players of the Rockstar Games multiplayer platform who subscribe to the service. The idea received a lot of criticism from players even before it was released, but apparently, it worked out in the best way for the company.

We, therefore, do not have precise data, but Zelnick has kept specifying that the amount of subscribed users is very satisfactory for Take-Two, which could pave the way for similar initiatives also for other games, such as Red Dead Online, but for the moment the CEO of the company declined to comment on this eventuality, pending further developments.
