Since its official launch in March 2017, Nintendo Switch has conquered gamers around the world with its unique hybrid gameplay design and strong game lineup. More than five years have passed since the launch of the console, and players and the industry have been expecting Nintendo to launch a real follow-up model.
Although Nintendo has not disclosed the news of the follow-up products of the Switch before, it seems that something has changed at yesterday’s earnings meeting. At similar events in the past, when some media asked about topics related to Nintendo’s high-level Switch follow-up console, they would definitely get a negative answer.
However, at the financial meeting held yesterday, when answering shareholder questions, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa gave a “non-committal” answer for the first time without commenting on the new console.
From this point of view, Nintendo is likely to release a new Switch console in the near future. Combined with the delay of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild”, maybe Nintendo will officially launch a new Switch early next year?
