Galaxy Tab S8/S8+ grabbed May 2022 patch update

Recently, Samsung released the current month’s patch – May 2022 patch for its latest flagship Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and now another device grabbed this opportunity.

At this time, Samsung released the May 2022 security patch update for the Galaxy Tab S8 and the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus. The latest software update for the Galaxy Tab S8 has firmware version X700XXU2AVD6, while that of the Galaxy Tab S8+ has firmware version X800XXU2AVD6. Both tablets are getting the May 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of known security vulnerabilities. The updates have been released across the world.

It comes in at around 505 MB and the changelog clearly mentions it. Samsung hasn’t actually detailed the security patch for next month as yet. This isn’t surprising as Samsung has become significantly faster at sending out security patches now.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ runs One UI Tab 4 is based on Android 12 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB). The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ measures 185.00 x 285.00 x 5.70mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 567.00 grams. It was launched in Graphite, Pink Gold, and Silver colors.

Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ include USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and GPS. Sensors on the tablet include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer.
