Team Win Recovery Project, better known as TWRP, is the most popular custom recovery solution for Android devices. With TWRP you can do everything from flashing custom ROMs to creating full backups.
But to properly use TWRP, the device must be officially supported by the project. However, developers often expand the list of supported devices. Just a few days ago, the Samsung Galaxy S22 series received TWRP support.
TWRP now offers official builds for the global Exynos variants of the Samsung Galaxy S20 line and Galaxy Note 20 line. The official images are based on the latest Android 12 One UI 4.1 kernel sources.
Downloading TWRP will cause subsequent OTA updates to be disabled and trigger KNOX, voiding the warranty. There’s no way to reverse the situation, so you’ll irrevocably lose access to Samsung Pay and other Knox-based features forever.
So if you want to try TWRP, you should know what you are doing. Otherwise, it will only bring grief and worry and possibly an unusable device.
