Despite an upcoming show at its own show in June, according to the latest rumors, the Xbox is likely to appear at this year’s Gamescom in Cologne. Considering that Microsoft has a large number of game studios, the two events may involve a lot of work. We can also see new trailers or playable demos at the Xbox and Bethesda games shows.
According to Windows Central’s Jez Corden, Xbox will be at Gamescom this year. He pointed out that this year’s Cologne exhibition will be the first offline event in a long time after the epidemic. He thinks Microsoft might keep some information and announcements for Cologne. That’s not a big deal, considering that the company currently owns 23 or so studios through acquisitions.
For now, of course, Microsoft’s focus is on the Xbox and Bethesda Games show in June. The company is ready to showcase new content developed by its first-party studios. This 90-minute showcase event will cover all titles coming to the Xbox ecosystem in the near future, including the upcoming Xbox and PC Game Pass lineup. Two games are expected to be featured at the event: Starry Sky and The Elder Scrolls 6.
“Starry Sky” will land on the Xbox Series and PC platforms in November, while “The Elder Scrolls 6” is still in the early stages of development and may not appear at the show. Similarly, the Indiana Jones-themed game being developed by Wolfenstein developer Machine Games may still be in the early stages of development, so it may not provide a proper showcase, and will only provide a short trailer at the event.
The Xbox and Bethesda Gaming Showcase will be streamed live on multiple platforms in over 30 languages.
