Despite the great popularity of Samsung’s smartphones, the virtual assistant of the Korean giant has failed to win over users, remaining a sort of the second choice compared to Google Assistant.
Samsung over the years has tried to encourage the use of Bixby but the efforts of the Korean giant have not borne the hoped-for results and even today the owners of the Galaxy series smartphones often, as soon as they buy the device, immediately focus on Google Assistant.
But the team of developers of the Korean giant must be recognized for tenacity and so, despite the difficulties in making users appreciate Bixby, they continue to improve this assistant, introducing new features.
What’s new in Samsung Bixby version 3.2.12.16
In the past few hours, a new update for Samsung’s voice assistant has been released, thanks to which Bixby arrives at version 3.2.12.16 and introduces an interesting feature that could prove to be very convenient for many users.
We refer to the possibility of answering an incoming phone call without the need to use your hands, through the voice command “accept the call” and without first having to activate the assistant with the relative command (ie “Hey, Bixby”).
Users also have the option to ask the phone to “ stop the alarm ” when the alarm is sounding without saying the Bixby wake words, which simplifies the use of the device, improving the overall experience.
At the moment this new feature is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 +, Galaxy S22 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip3 and Galaxy Z Fold3 and only in English (as well as Korean) but the manufacturer has announced that in the future it will implement it in others templates (without providing further details in this regard).
