A new OPPO phone with the model number PGAM10 appeared on the benchmarking platform Geekbench. According to previous reports, OPPO is about to release the Reno8.
Judging from the Geekbench running points, the machine will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip, run the Android 12 system, and be equipped with 8GB RAM. This model currently has a single-core score of 712 points and a multi-core score of 2385 points, which is not as good as the Snapdragon 870.
Previous revelations showed that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s new-generation Snapdragon 7 processor, supplemented by LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory, a 6.55-inch 2400*1080 resolution OLED punch-hole screen, 120Hz refresh rate, and a rear 50MP IMX766 main camera, built-in 4500mAh battery, supports 80W wired charging and adopts under-screen fingerprint.
According to @Digital Chat Station, the Snapdragon 7Gen1 has little improvement over the current mainstream Snapdragon 778G. OPPO Reno6 was released on May 27, 2021, and OPPO Reno7 was released on November 25, 2021. It is almost time to release the next-generation OPPO Reno series models.
According to previous software testing information, the new generation of Snapdragon 7 platform adopts a 4nm process, and the specific parameters include 4*A710+4*A510, large core 2.36GHz, small core 1.8GHz, supplemented by Adreno 662 GPU. Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1 is positioned higher than Snapdragon 778G and is the strongest 7-series processor.
It is not yet clear when the Snapdragon 7 will be released. It is reported that it may debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus flagship processor, and it will debut in May at the earliest.
