Blizzard already confirmed at the end of 2018 that they were planning a mobile Warcraft game. But after that it got quiet. At the beginning of the year, we found out that it will be released for Android and iOS in 2022 and that it will be officially presented in May.
The date has now also been set: May 3, 2022. So Blizzard will reveal the details tomorrow at 7 p.m. German time. If you want, you can follow the event directly on Blizzard, there will be a live stream on the site from 7 p.m.

Warcraft for Android and iOS was developed entirely and only for smartphones, it’s not a port or anything like that. In 2018 there was talk that Pokémon Go was the big role model, but it’s unclear whether Blizzard is still sticking to it.
The last few years have shown that Pokémon Go was rather an exception in this category and that is difficult to repeat. Anyway, I’m excited, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne is one of my top 5 favorite games of all time. But I’m afraid that the mobile Warcraft has nothing to do with the classic.
