After seven years of the original Edge and more than two years of switching to Chromium, Microsoft Edge has finally made slow but steady progress. According to the latest data from StatCounter, the Microsoft Edge browser crossed the 10% mark in April 2022. The data in this issue shows that Microsoft Edge successfully gained 0.42% of the market, breaking through the double-digit percentage for the first time, with specific data of 10.07%.
Of course, that’s still a long way from Chrome’s massive 66.64% (-0.65), but it’s enough to earn Edge the title of “second most popular browser.” Apple’s Safari occupies third place in the desktop browser market with a share of 9.61% (+0.05), and Firefox is fourth with 7.86% (+0.29).
