The success of Stadia seems to have been below expectations, but Google has no plans to give up the project. Indeed, during the Google For Games Developer Summit 2022 in March, it announced a series of measures through which to give it new life, including a slight restructuring of the Stadia Store that seems to have arrived.
Some reports of a refurbished Google Stadia Store have arrived on Twitter. New layout for the virtual store that simplifies the search for demo games, trials and those that are part of the Stadia Pro subscription. It is a series of optimizations that make the design of the Store more coherent and easier to consult, including, within the pages reserved for each title, the screenshots of the game phases stand out and part of the fundamental information such as price and details that have been arranged on the left of the screen.
The games available in the bundles will also have specific details under the text description, and furthermore, the URLs will be composed of the name of the game rather than a set of numbers. In short, the slight restructuring of the Stadia virtual store aligns it with the experience offered by competitors, and can only be appreciated by those who have trusted Google’s cloud gaming service. Another fundamental step to expand the audience of users came last month when the possibility of trying three games for free, and without even creating an account, came: Humankind, Super Animal Royale and World War Z: Aftermath.
