343 is clearly busy working on Halo Infinite right now, as the second season of “Lone Wolf” is coming soon, and in addition to bringing a ton of new content (Forge, co-op campaigns, etc.), behind the scenes fixes and feedback based on player feedback Changes will also go live simultaneously. However, it looks like 343 has other work on hand.
At a recent Livestream event, industry reporter Jez Corden broke the news that he’s pretty sure (though not 100 percent) that 343 is working on another Halo game. Corden gave no further details about the game. 343’s previous job advertisements also hinted that they were working on another Halo.
Halo: Infinite is said to be the series’ main platform for the next decade, so any new entry near the middle should be a series spinoff.
Foreign media pointed out that considering the lack of content in “Halo: Infinite”, this seems strange: the current work is in a worrying situation, and 343 has begun the development of new work. The operations are reminiscent of DICE’s Battlefield series.
Fans have been complaining about Halo Infinite’s lack of enough content and not getting many updates since its release, so it wouldn’t be fair for fans to develop a new game now. Improving Halo Infinite should be on the top of 343’s agenda.
