Surprisingly, Bandai Namco has announced a DLC for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown dedicated entirely to the film Top Gun: Maverick, the new film in the film saga with Tom Cruise coming in May.
The announcement came from the official Twitter profile of Bandai Namco US, which however did not provide further details on the nature of this additional content, promising the arrival of more information about it in the near future. The release of the DLC of Top Gun: Maverick is scheduled for this spring, we suppose close to the release of the film in theaters.
Released in January 2019, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was a great success, totaling 3 million copies sold, according to official data shared in August 2021.

Bandai Namco has already started work on a new chapter of the series directed by Kazutoki Kono, which this time will also see the support of ILCA, the team that made the Pokémon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl remakes.
Top Gun: Maverick will debut in Italian cinemas on May 25th. Set 34 years after the events of the first film, the film sees the legendary US Navy officer Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, meanwhile promoted to the rank of captain of a vessel, new flight instructor of the school of pilots “Top Gun”, mentor and guide to Bradley, son of the late flight companion Goose, who tries to become an aviator like his father.
