A curious repair carried out on a Google Pixel 6 Pro unit suggests new ways to customize the appearance of this smartphone. Last week Max Weinbach was planning to replace the shattered back panel of a Google Pixel 6 Pro with one of a different color.
In practice, it replaced the back panel of the white variant with that of the black variant obtaining a sort of “Panda” look that made the Google Pixel 2 XL iconic, although on the contrary.

Max Weinbach shared on Twitter some photos of the final result that looks appreciable since the light gray upper part goes very well with the darker lower panel and with the silver accents of the frame and the camera module.
However, Max points out that during the operation he broke the wireless charging coil on his device due to the way Google designed that component.
Of course, there are much easier ways to get a unique-looking Google Pixel 6 Pro than crushing the back panel and replacing it with a different one, however, it’s worth praising Google again for making an effort to ensure that some repairs are easily done on your own.
