Without a doubt, YouTube Music is one of the best streaming services available today even if it is not as popular as Spotify and it is also for this reason that Google’s team of developers is working to introduce important news so that they can compete better with the latter platform.
The many new features introduced by YouTube Music
There are several news announcements in recent months, such as the one related to the improvement of the algorithm used to provide users with suggestions on the songs to listen to (and it seems that users have appreciated this feature).
Another novelty is that related to adding a song to a playlist, an experience that has been made more pleasant through a section that shows the most recently edited playlists, a view in alphabetical order, and the ability to save a queue as a playlist on Android.
And again, Premium users can now switch from video to audio mode on the web, something that until now was only possible in the mobile application. Also new for smartwatches, as the service’s shuffle and play feature on Wear OS now allows you to randomly play all downloaded songs.
YouTube Music has also added a new family section, which includes pre-scheduled playlists and a custom Family Mix, so those who share their subscription with family members will have access to a new “For Family” shelf, with the Family mix shown above the other playlists.
Other recently added new features include the ability to share an artist’s page from YouTube Music on Snapchat Stories, various small UI changes, and a new queue for individual songs.
