Battlefield 2042 continues its path of evolution with what seems like an important step, namely the update 4.0 scheduled for next week, which will bring with it over 400 fixes and various improvements to the game.
There’s no exact release date yet, but the new Battlefield 2042 4.0 update is expected to arrive later this week, according to DICE’s Kevin Johnson. With the update should come over 400 various interventions to the shooter with a war setting, ranging from bug fixes to the addition of features, in particular with regard to the “Quality of life” solutions for players.
Specialists Rao and Paik will receive various modifications with feature updates, while Sundance will have some fixes regarding the use of grenades and its specific countermeasures on explosives. The update 4.0 will also modify the Ribbons, in order to make them easier to unlock in the various modes and there will be a rebalancing of XP points based on team play.
Update 4.0 for #Battlefield 2042 is set to go live next week, with the Patch Notes going live at the start of that week too.

Some corrections are also planned for the vehicles, in particular, the Bolte but also many others, with adjustments on the controls and targeting of the enemies. Update 4.0 will also rework the implications of the accessories to be applied to weapons, in order to make them more significant and unique, but these are just a few examples of the large number of elements included in the new update.
Hopefully, this will help lift the game’s situation, considering that contemporary Steam players have recently dropped below 1000 for the first time, which is not really a good sign.
