Facebook parent company Meta said in a statement on Monday that the company will begin testing business tools to sell digital assets in its virtual reality (VR) social platform Horizon Worlds. Horizon Worlds is a key component of meta-construction metaverses.
Meta said the tools will first be available to selected users who access its immersive platform through VR headsets, enabling them to sell virtual fashion accessories or provide other users with paid channels to access parts of the digital world.
Meta is also testing a Creator Rewards program for Select Horizon Worlds users in the United States. Through the program, it will pay participants who reach their goals, such as adopting new tools or new features launched by the company.
