On Monday, Apple officially confirmed that it has begun production of the iPhone 13 smartphone in India. Apple began producing the iPhone in 2017, but at the time the business was limited to the iPhone SE.
In a statement shared with IANS, Apple said: “We are excited to start making the iPhone 13, which has a beautiful design, an advanced camera system that can take amazing photos and videos, and the amazing performance of the A15 bionic sensor – right in India, serving our local customers.”
At present, several apple suppliers have produced some high-end iPhone models in India, among which Foxconn produces the iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and now the iPhone 13, while The India-based Wistron Company is currently responsible for producing the iPhone SE and iPhone 12.
According to industry experts, the new Apple iPhone 13 series benefits from consumers’ strong desire and consumption to upgrade to high-end smart phones. In the first quarter of this year, CyberMedia Research (CMR) estimates indicate that Apple’s iPhone shipments could grow by more than 20% (year-over-year), with the iPhone 13 series contributing nearly 17% to total iPhone shipments.
Prabhu Ram, head of cmR’s Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), told IANS that “Apple’s iPhone shipments are likely to hit the 7 million mark in 2022, creating a historic market share of 5.5 percent.”
The iPhone 13 was launched in india and the United States at the same time, which was the first time in India. The device features an advanced 5G experience, ultra-fast performance and power efficiency through A15 bionic technology, longer battery life, and a beautiful flat-edged design that brings incredible durability through the Cerramic Shield front cover, which is harder than the glass of any smartphone.
