Apple has announced that it will hold the WWDC developer conference on June 6, during which new versions such as iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16 are expected to be launched.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said today that iOS 16, which will be previewed at WWDC in June, will bring “significant” improvements to notifications and health tracking, but not much has changed in the system itself.
In his latest issue of Power On, Gurman wrote that he doesn’t expect any major design changes in iOS 16 at all, but instead, the next version of iOS will include enhancements to notifications and new health-tracking features.
On the iOS side, I’d like to see some pretty significant enhancements, including updates to notifications and new health-tracking features.
I’m not expecting a refreshing change to the iOS interface, even though it hasn’t changed much since iOS 7 a decade ago. But iPadOS may bring a new multitasking interface. Meanwhile, Apple watchOS could get a major upgrade to activity and health tracking.
Apple will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) online from June 6 to 10 for all developers to attend for free.
Building on the success of the previous two online conferences, WWDC22 will showcase cutting-edge innovations in iOS, iPad OS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS, while offering developers the opportunity to interact with Apple engineers and use Apple technologies to learn how to create Breakthrough apps and interactive experiences.
At this Apple WWDC22 developer conference, new systems such as iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 are expected to be released.
