Mark Gurman said in his latest Power On the column that Apple may release two Mac products during the WWDC 2022 keynote.
It’s unclear which Mac product Apple will announce at WWDC 2022, but it could be a redesigned MacBook Air, a 13-inch MacBook Pro, a new Mac mini, and most likely the new Mac that Apple previewed at its spring event Pro products.
On March 9th, Apple released a new Mac Studio, equipped with up to a 20-core M1 Ultra processor, and some performance indicators have surpassed the Intel processor version of the Mac Pro workstation. At the end of the event, Apple announced that the new Mac Pro will be released soon. At present, WWDC in June should be the release time of the new Mac Pro.
The old Mac Pros are equipped with Intel processors, up to 28-core Xeon W processors, optional 1.5TB memory, optional AMD Radeon series accelerator cards, and optional 8TB SSDs. Equipped with nearly 400,000 yuan.
In contrast, although Mac Studio has surpassed the old Mac Pro in some performances of CPU/GPU through the new architecture, 128GB is still difficult to compete with 1.5TB in terms of memory capacity. It’s interesting to see how the Mac Pro with Arm chips will be configured.
Apple has now announced that it will hold its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) online from June 6th to 10th.
