A few days after the launch of PUBG: Battlegrounds Update 17.1, the developers of Krafton have revealed that among the various innovations introduced with the April update there will also be the original version of the Sanhok map.
Basically, this is version 1.0 of the map, launched on public servers in June 2018, and which will therefore be identical to how it was originally, including some points of interest removed completely with updates after publication. It will replace the updated version of Sanhok, which apparently is not particularly popular with the community.
“Sanhok’s appearance from when it was first released will make a comeback in this update,” reads Krafton’s message on the official PUBG website.
“Both small and big changes have been made with the numerous updates in the past with the aim of creating balanced gameplay and improving the map, but our continuous monitoring of player feedback made us realize that the reworked Sanhok was not achieving the results. We, therefore, decided to restore Sanhok to its original appearance and work to improve it from the ground up. ”
PUBG: Battleground Update 17.1 will also introduce the new competitive season and the ACE32, a 7.62mm ammo shotgun featuring low recoil, as well as various balance and gameplay changes. It will be available on PC starting April 13 and April 21 for the console versions of the battle royale.
