Samsung has released the One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 for several smartphones and tablets in recent weeks, but for the South Korean giant it is not the time to rest: the dedicated team is already working on One UI 4.1.1, which it should be available later in 2022. Let’s see what we know so far and what news to expect.
Samsung One UI 4.1.1: what news to expect, when it will arrive, and on which models
The One UI 4.1 is an interesting and rather rich update, but still minor if we consider the innovations introduced with version 4.0 which led to the debut of Android 12. The release offers intelligent Widgets, some photographic features taken from the Galaxy S22, unpublished screen sharing functions with Google Duo video calls, improvements to the object eraser for the removal of “obstacles” in photos, and progress in customization and styles introduced with Android 12 and beyond.
If Samsung follows what has been done in recent times, the One UI 4.1.1 will make its appearance on board the next folding smartphones, namely the alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, for which we already have some rumors. According to what was reported by Sammobile, notoriously well informed on everything related to the world of the manufacturer, the release should follow in the footsteps of version 3.1.1 and be made available only for leaflets (of 2022, in this case).
The One UI 4.1.1 could integrate just some small improvements and some news to make the most of the form factor of the aforementioned products. Some improvements may be brought to recent devices without necessarily a version change. When it debuts, the manufacturer should already be focused on the One UI 5, which will be based on Android 13 (currently in Developer Preview) and which could arrive on the first flagships by the end of 2022.
There are still several months left until the probable debut of Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4, so there will be time to return to the topic and possible news. The release should in fact take place towards the end of summer 2022. Are you expecting something special with One UI 4.1.1?
