If before we had a suggestion, now there are no more doubts: OnePlus Nord N20 is in the pipeline. Its predecessor, Nord N10, was unveiled to the public in autumn 2020 and is ready to receive a refresh more than a year later.
Not that OnePlus has made itself desired when it comes to the mid-range, between Nord 2, CE 2 and N200 and the future Nord 3, 2T and CE 2 Lite. In light of all these models, how will this Nord N20 stand out?
OnePlus Nord N20 is coming: here is what its news will be
Talking about it is OnePlus itself, which has anticipated the times by revealing how OnePlus Nord N20 will be done. The image attached to the announcement confirms what was seen previously, with a smartphone with more angular lines in the wake of some of the latest generation smartphones. The back is almost totally flat, except for the protective rings around the main sensors of the camera.
Although the screen will remain a 6.43 ″ Full HD + unit, OnePlus has confirmed a not insignificant change: compared to the Nord N10 and its 90 Hz LCD panel, here we will have a 60 Hz AMOLED. A step back in terms of refresh rate but forward in terms of visual quality and energy consumption.
In addition, AMOLED technology means that you will switch between an ID sensor placed on the side and one on the display. Another step forward will be in terms of battery: the amperage is not known, but there will be Super VOOC fast charging, probably at 65W.
The officially confirmed specs end there, but we also know other things about the OnePlus Nord N20. For example that the SoC should be the Snapdragon 695 5G, just as we should find a triple camera of 48 + 2 + 2 MP, selfie camera of 16 MP and stereo speaker.
