Vivo has yet to announce a release date for the new tablet, but the Geekbench benchmarking database has already revealed some of its specs. It is known that the model codenamed Vivo PA2170 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC + 8GB RAM. It is expected that the Chinese version of the Vivo Pad will be officially unveiled at the press conference on April 11, along with the company’s first new folding screen phones, the Vivo X Fold and the Vivo X Note.
As for whether the Vivo X80 series will be launched at the same time, it is currently unknown. However, as the company’s first tablet computer, we still hope that the blue factory Vivo Pad can bring some surprises and compete with competitors such as Samsung/Apple.
Earlier, the green factory has launched the OPPO Pad, and it is said that the OnePlus brand will also launch the OnePlus Pad soon. But just days before launch, the Geekbench benchmark database has revealed some key specs of the Vivo Pad.
MySmartPrice pointed out that the Vivo PA2170 model scored 1027 single-core / 3382 multi-core. It has 8GB of RAM, but it doesn’t come pre-installed with the latest mobile OS (Android 11 only).
Given that the “Kona” codename is mentioned in the motherboard section, we can easily determine that it is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, which contains a 3.19 GHz high-performance core, three 2.42 GHz performance cores, and four 1.8GHz energy-saving cores, integrated Adreno 650 GPU.
Sadly, Geekbench did not disclose more details. However, it is rumored that the Vivo Pad will be equipped with an 11-inch @ 2.5K display with a 120Hz high refresh rate and narrow bezels, and is expected to support Dolby Vision and stylus input.
There are also four speakers, support for Dolby Atmos, the back charging contacts can be connected to a keyboard base with a touchpad, a built-in 7860 mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging, and the circular rear camera module includes two 1 lens + 4 LED flashes.
