The Dropbox cloud service solution now has two new features in its portfolio: HelloSign templates and PDF editing in Dropbox, as well as innovations for Dropbox Backup. These include, for example, a simplified data backup, in which the progress check, the history and the prioritization of certain files can now be managed directly via the desktop.
Backed-up and shared files are now treated separately, which should minimize the risk of accidentally overwriting the emergency backup. The restoration of files has also been simplified, so that deleted files can be restored even faster from the cloud backup.
A new function is the editing of PDF documents within your Dropbox environment. You can now rearrange, insert, rotate and delete PDF pages, fill out interactive forms and manage multiple versions by saving PDF files as a copy or saved as a replacement for the original.
Don’t be surprised: the editing of PDF documents is only available to a few first beta users, for the time being, all other users should be provided with the function in the coming weeks.
eSignature requests should now be easier to process with the new HelloSign templates function. Frequently used documents can be converted into templates directly in the Dropbox account and can also be sent immediately from there.
You can use it to create and edit reusable templates to prepare and send documents, track documents throughout their signature lifecycle, and set up automatic reminder emails so no document is forgotten.
Plus, signed documents are automatically saved and organized in Dropbox. This function is also only available for a few beta users for the time being and will soon be distributed to the rest.
