According to the latest report, the Apple Health source code used to develop the Globant “Earn Your Apple Watch” project may have been stolen in the recent Lapsus$ hack.
Lapsus$ previously made this claim via its Telegram channel, along with a torrent link to the data. Screenshots of these files show that the folders are named Facebook and apple-health-app.
It has not been possible to verify that these folders contain source code belonging to these companies. Facebook and Apple did not respond to requests for comment.
Apple previously worked with Globant to develop a white-label tool for creating incentive programs around the Apple Watch. Employees will track their health and workout data and use that data to earn your Apple Watch or, once earning an Apple Watch, receive other discounts and rewards.
It is not known what data is contained in the folder labeled “apple-health-app,” and Globant did not respond to a request for comment. Lapsus$ has been stealing data from various companies in recent weeks, including 37GB of Microsoft source code, and 190GB of Samsung exploits.
The hacker group also allegedly breached the Okta authentication tool to gain access to more accounts and data.
The latest news is that the British police have arrested several members of the Lapsus$ hacking group.
