As you surely know, Apex Legends has landed on Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 with a version designed specifically for the latest generation consoles. However, it would seem that the Microsoft version of the battle royale has some problems related to the audio and the players have already identified a temporary solution, pending the patch.
If you are also noticing some unusual audio behavior while playing Apex Legends, there is a way to fix the bug through your console’s settings menus. Access the Xbox settings, select the audio table in the “General” menu and change the central option relating to HDMI audio, selecting “Windows Sonic”. According to testimonials from gamers in possession of Xbox, this procedure should fix the bug until Respawn Entertainment fixes it directly with an update.
PSA: If you are getting strange audio bugs in Apex Legends after the next-gen update on Xbox, it is recommended to change your console audio settings to “Stereo Uncompressed.”
