Bliss OS is not a new name for modding enthusiasts: created by developer Jon West, the project allows you to try all the news of the latest versions of Android, in this case, Bliss OS 15 is based on Android 12L (but last year we had seen Bliss OS 14 based on Android 11), on x86 PCs.
Bliss OS 15 Beta: Android 12L on PC would be like this
Projects of this type are obviously made possible by the open-source nature of the Android operating system, as well as by the commitment of the developers. As for Bliss OS 15, the first two alpha builds were released in December last year and were based on Android 12.
In the meantime, work on the project has gone on and now we have reached a turning point: the first beta build, this time based on Android 12L, has been released, so it can be downloaded and tested on PC and VM (virtual machine).
To share the news was the developer Jon West, who also published a long series of screenshots on Twitter and a short video preview on YouTube. The new images are visible below and are added to those we had already shown you weeks ago.
The Android-x86 12L builds have started uploading and the first x86_64 .iso for your PC can be downloaded now from the https://t.co/HOmSUHx8Km site. Make sure to pay close attention to the readme for the .iso, as these are alphas and there might be dragons. pic.twitter.com/bhlSUHPbyO

The Bliss OS team, therefore, believes that release 15 is mature enough to be tested on commonly used PCs. Here is the developer’s video. In addition to the new features of Android 12L, the release features extended compatibility with desktop hardware thanks to the integration of additional drivers and UI improvements.
In the past, the Android-x86 project had remained anchored to a user interface very close to Android stock, however, this time a further step was taken: the release includes a desktop mode launcher that can be selected as an alternative that should be better suited for use . with mouse and keyboard.
Google services and applications are already included in the build, so you don’t need a separate flash. Here is the complete changelog of the first Bliss OS 15 Beta build:
- Added Smart Dock (Desktop Mode Launcher)
- Updated to Linux Kernel 5.10.70 (with kernel-SU)
- Updated to Mesa 22.0.0 (meson build)
- Added new grub entries for graphics options
- Added Google Play Store (GMS / Gapps)
- Fixes for libndk-translation for arm & arm64
- Updates to media packages for wider support through libva and omx
